"I think it's about time an Aussie took home the title. Get your acts together!" - Joe Hachem, 2005 WSOP Champion and Crown Ambassador, Main Event launch

The last hand of Aussie Millions Poker Championship Main Event title has been dealt and Stewart Scott, a lucky amateur poker player, made Australia proud. The Southern Hemisphere’s biggest poker tournament title hasn’t been awarded to an Australian since 2003.

Stewart Scott overcame a huge field of 681 poker stars, poker celebrities, internet poker players and talented amateurs to claim his first ever live poker tournament victory. The 2009 Aussie Millions Poker Championship won a whooping and unsurpassed $2,000,000 cash and the custom made Poker Allure championship bracelet.

By Day 4, Stewart Scott had managed to pull himself into the lead with a huge stack and kept it throughout play at the final table.
